As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable development, SM Jaleel is thrilled to launch our new Recycling Station Programme across all its facilities in Trinidad. This initiative is aligned with the values and principles of Goal 13 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals- Climate Action and aimed at engendering recycling habits and environmental consciousness by encouraging employees to recycle beverage containers used during the workday.

This programme is also in sync with the Environmental Management Authority’s (EMA) iCare initiative, which supports waste reduction and recycling across Trinidad and Tobago. All collected recyclable containers from our facilities will be delivered to the nearest iCare centres, further integrating our efforts with national environmental goals.

With strategically placed recycling stations at all SMJ locations, we’re making it easier for our team to dispose of their recyclable materials responsibly. Each station is part of a broader effort to create a culture of sustainability within SMJ and beyond. Our Recycling Station Program reflects our dedication to building a greener future. At SMJ, we recognize the importance of fostering sustainable practices at every level of our operations. We believe this initiative will serve as a catalyst for positive change, starting right here within our own workforce.
